FAQS

Care

Our candle estimated burn times are as follows:4 oz : 20 – 30 hours

8 oz : 40 – 60 hours

12 oz: 60 – 80 hours

17 oz: 80 -100 hours

Please note that these burn times are based on use with proper candle care.

For the best burn experience, keep the following in mind:

The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge; for a larger candle, this may take several hours. Wax has a memory, so if it is extinguished with a partial pool, that will prevent a full, even pool from forming in the future.

Trim your wick each time you light the candle, removing any «bloom» from the previous burn. We recommend lighting a wick that is 1/4-1/2″ in length.

Ensure that your candle is placed on a heat-safe surface.

Due to the natural components of the candle it is normal to have some separation after cooling. We do not use chemicals or paraffin based wax to make it look artificial. This will not affect the integrity of the sail at all.
